The Brick museum is a personal project designed in collaboration with Synthetica visual, in order to explore some athmospheres, plugins and instruments of workflow.
The idea is to create a space with a symply defined geometry that at a first look seem closed to himself but in strectly relation with the australian landscape, thanks to the detail that decompose and refine that strictly geometry. The interior is composed by three free plans usefull for art installation with a monumental stair theat collegue the floors. The curtain wall that compose a strictly cube is made by glass and a curtain bricks rotated and opened in order to decompose the volume and open the views from the interior throught the outside. At the groundfloor a simply slab interact to the lake outside. A tongue to live the outside a bringing it in to the architecuture.
The exterior shot is made from the outside simulating the native oceanian landscape and using that to framing the project. With the use of the perspective line made it from the border of the lake and the eucaliptus frame, the main subject of the image become the museum althought is quite farway putting the two entities in a dialog. The interior shot, want to emphasize the activities of the space in a visual relation with the outsie through the use of the light and composition. Starting form the border of the image there is the landscape full in light, going inside is full of activities in a studied shadow that converge the observator step by step in the center of the image where is situated the big eliptical stair that bring another time the eye outside through the skylight window.
